The Council of the City of Eddyville met in regular session on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall, Mayor Johnston presiding.
Council Members present: Doug Greenlee, Richard Shepherd, Jim Durst, Larry Harding, Dwight Lobberecht.
Council Members absent: None.
The Mayor announced this is the time and place set for a public hearing for the proposal to address right of way and boundary issues as a result of the building of the Eddyville Bypass. There being no written or oral objections Lobberecht moved, seconded by Harding to close the hearing at 7: 03 p.m. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Durst moved, seconded by Harding to approve the agenda as presented. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Lobberecht moved, seconded by Harding to approve the consent agenda consisting of minutes of meeting in July and bills for July payable in August 2009. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Lobberecht introduced Resolution 2009-08-13 and moved its adoption, a resolution approving the transfer of property to the IDOT with a quit claim deed and authorizing the Mayor to sign, seconded by Durst. AYE: Durst, Harding, Lobberecht, Greenlee, Shepherd. NAY: 0. Resolution passed.
Harding moved, seconded by Greenlee to advertise the 2000 police car for sale. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Fire Chief related that the department had received some smoke complaints and they took care of them.
Mayor informed everyone that Memory Lane was started and the city is going to put in a catch basin to divert some of the water.
We need to have the guys check the wood fence at the cemetery, some of the posts have broken.
