The Council of the City of Eddyville met in special session on June 25, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall, Mayor Johnston presiding.
Council Members present: John R. Johnson, Lance Johnston, Jim Durst, Larry Harding, Dwight Lobberecht.
Council Members absent: None.
Mayor announced this was the time and place to open bids for a Seal Coat Project and an Asphalt Project.
First bid: Reed & Reed, Inc. for 2007 Seal Coat Project which they broke into two sections. Job #1 Double Seal Coat Streets as designated by the City $71,882.50 and Job #2 Single Seal Coat Streets as designated by the City $29,440.00, for a total of $101,322.50 Bid Bond in order.
Second bid: Norris Asphalt Paving Co. 2007 Asphalt and Curb Project for various streets in the city, total of $356,469.87. Bid bond in order.
These were the only bids received.
Johnston moved, seconded by Harding to accept the bid from Norris Asphalt Paving Co. for various asphalt streets in the city for $356,469.87. AYE: Johnson, Johnston, Durst, Harding, Lobberecht. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Harding moved, seconded by Durst to accept the bid from Reed & Reed Inc. for various seal coat streets in the city, single and double seal coat for a total of $101,322.50. AYE: Johnston, Durst, Harding, Lobberecht, Johnson. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
