The Council of the City of Eddyville met in special session on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall, Mayor Johnston presiding.
Council Members present: John R. Johnson, Jim Durst, Larry Harding, Dwight Lobberecht.Council Members absent: Lance Johnston.
Harding moved, seconded by Durst to accept the resignation of Council Member Johnston effective January 15, 2008. AYE: 4. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Durst moved, seconded by Johnson to approve filling the vacancy left by Johnston’s resignation by appointment at the regular meeting and to put notice in the paper. AYE: 4. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Durst moved, seconded by Johnston to approve the mayor appointing Harding to Personnel Comm. and Lobberecht to Street & Sewer Comm. AYE: 4. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Mayor told council there were two quotes for cleaning up brush and tree hangers from the ice storm. Lobberecht would like to get at least one more, and bring to regular meeting.
