The Council of the City of Eddyville met in special session on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall, Mayor Johnston presiding.
Council Members present: John R. Johnson, Richard Shepherd, Jim Durst, Dwight Lobberecht.
Council Members absent: Larry Harding.
Johnson moved, seconded by Shepherd to approve making a grant application for Hazard Mitigation Assistance for Sanitary Sewer Improvement. AYE: Durst, Lobberecht, Johnson, Shepherd. Areas of concern are:
1-Lagoons
2-Sanitary Sewer
3-Storm Sewer
4-Lift Stations
This work can be done in stages.
Shepherd moved, seconded by Johnson to approve hiring Garden & Assoc. for engineering of the Hazard Mitigation Grant with a not to exceed amount of $4200.00. AYE: Lobberecht, Johnson, Shepherd, Durst. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Foodliner requested through the Mayor to see about the city sewers taking more of their waste. The City will have the attorney draw up an agreement where Foodliner will be responsible for all costs associated with the survey. The City will use Garden & Assoc. for this once the agreement it signed.
Johnson moved, seconded by Durst to approve the payment to Garden & Assoc. of $7327.89 for work completed on the STP Grant. AYE: 4. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
