The Council of the City of Eddyville met in regular session on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall, Mayor Pro-tem Lobberecht presiding.
Council members present: Doug Greenlee, John Simmers, Jim Durst, Wendell Terrell, Dwight Lobberecht.
Council members absent: None.
Durst moved, seconded by Terrell to approve agenda as presented. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Simmers moved, seconded by Greenlee to approve the consent agenda consisting of minutes of meetings in December and bills for December payable in January 2011. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Greenlee moved, seconded by Simmers to approve Liquor license, Outdoor service and Sunday Sales for Ford’s Pub & Grill pending dram shop insurance approval. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Jack Pope with Garden & Assoc. gave a general discussion of the Sewer project.
Simmers moved, seconded by Terrell to approve taking bids for Phase 1 and Phase 4 of the sewer project and the levee project at 10:00 on March 4th and award the bids at regular council meeting on March 7th at 7:00 p.m. AYE: 5. NAY: 0. Motion carried.
Representatives from the Library Board were present to discuss their budget for 2011/2012, they are asking for $6300.00 increase. Jim Sutton was the spoke person, he told of the unexpected repairs the building was having including a new roof and plumbing problems and the need for a furnace replacement. They would also like to give their employees a 3% increase and include costs for health insurance increase. Mayor Pro-Tem Lobberecht said they would see what they could work into the budget.
Fire Chief Smith was present to give his report and also told the outcome of their election.

Simmers was appointed to get quotes for fixing the Bandstand ceiling, and electric work the needs done in the park.
Lobberecht set Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:00 am for the budget committee to meet.
